Answer

The library is paying for your access to the EBSCOhost ebooks and databases so you need to start from the Alameda County Library website to use this collection. There is more than one way to get there, but I suggest that you start on the library’s homepage (www.aclibrary.org) and use the Research menu which appears on the top center of the page in the blue band under the banner. Select A-Z Resources then scroll down to EBSCO on the alphabetical list or use the letter tabs to jump to E-F-D. Click on EBSCOhost. You will need to enter your library card number. (I think EBSCO calls this ‘patron ID’.) Check the box for eBook Collection then click on the Continue button which appears just above the list of collections. "Sign In" is in the purple menu bar just a little right of center next to the folder icon. Selecting "Sign In" takes you to the logon page. The first time you come here, look for "Create a new Account" which appears in blue letters above the text block that says Sign In to Access Your personalized MyEBSCOhost account. After you have created your user name and password, you will use those to access your account. I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask further questions or stop by in person for a demonstration. Sincerely,
