Q. How do I request a book?

Answer

You can search for a book on our website by clicking on the link upper right side that says CLASSIC CATALOG. It will take you to the search screen. The default search term is title, but you can click on the arrow and choose Author, Keyword, Subject, Call Number, or ISBN Number. For help on using the catalog you can click on the blue link under Library Links that says Catalog FAQS.

When you search and a book comes up that you are interested in click on the title to see which Branch location has the book currently available. If it is available it will say CHECK SHELF. You can request that a book be held for you at the location of your choice by clicking on the blue REQUEST button on the top menu of the search screen that shows where all the copies of the book are located. If you have any questions or problems doing the search please call the information desk librarian at any one of the branch locations during open hours.
