Q. What is Discover & Go and Who Can Use It?

Answer

Discover & Go is a program provided by your library that offers free and low-cost passes for museums, science centers, zoos, theatres, and other cultural destinations. You must meet your library's minimum age requirement and live within your library's service area to use the Discover & Go Service.

To get a pass, log in with your library card credentials and browse for passes by date or attractions. Make your reservation and print or download your pass shortly before your visit. You can have two active reservations per library card. If you reserve a pass and do not use it or cancel the reservation, the unused pass will count towards your limit. Remember that once you print or download your pass you cannot cancel your reservation. Passes are non-transferable. Valid ID is required.

Access to museum pass reservations is limited to Library cardholders who are 15 years of age and up and who reside in Alameda County.  Cardholders who are not Alameda County residents cannot reserve passes on Discover & Go

The number of passes available and terms of use are set by the participating organizations

New Discover & Go rules require members to use the library card issued from the library within their local residence area to reserve passes. If you live in any of the below cities or outside counties, you will need to go to that library's Discover & Go site instead:

Alameda Free Library

Berkeley Library

Contra Costa County Library

Hayward Library

Livermore Library

Oakland Library

Pleasanton Library

San Leandro Library

Stockton/San Joaquin County Library

Stanislaus County Library
